It's been a while since I posted anything here. It's also been a while since I wrote any poetry. This is another poem about trusting the Lord's leading. My life is confusing at times; but whatever happens I know that He is always with me, leading me heavenward.
I Am Still Here
I was walking with You,
Holding Your hand;
Following You,
Trusting Your plan.
But I felt the road bend;
The mist blocked my view.
I suddenly found myself
Questioning You.
I called out Your name,
And straining my ear,
Before long I heard You say,
"I am still here.
"This road may seem strange;
The way is not clear.
But I know this path--
And I am still here.
"Though mist clouds your view,
And darkness draw near,
Keep trusting My leading,
For I am still here."
And I know this is true:
I still feel your hand;
I know that You'll lead me
Beyond this wasteland.
I can't see Your face,
But Your voice I can hear.
I know that You love me;
I know You're still here.
