As I listened to the thunder last evening, and thought about this verse from Job, the Lord gave me this poem. Originally I wanted to add it to “Lord of the Storm,” but it seems to stand alone--I think.
“He covers His hand with the lightning,
And commands it to strike the mark.
Its noise declares His presence....”
~Job 36:32-33
The lightning hears My voice;
I tell it where to strike.
Its thunder says I'm here
In midst of darkest night.
If thus I guide the storm,
Why should you doubt My hand?
The order of your life
Will follow My command.
