Hold My Hand

The Lord gave me this poem 1½ years ago, during a time when I could see where He wanted me to be, but couldn't tell how to go there.  I seemed to hear His sweet whisper, “Take My hand, and I will lead you there.”  I share it now because again I’m facing big decisions and times like these drive me closer to His side.

Take My hand, and hold it tight;
  I will lead you through this night.
Take My hand, and don’t let go;
  Stay near Me--I love you so!

Take My hand, belovéd Bride.
  Don’t you trust Me as your guide?
Hold My hand; I’m all you need:
  Come with Me and have life indeed.

Hold My hand, and trust My might:
  You won’t fall--I’ll hold you tight.
Hold My hand; the path is steep;
  I will hold you and safely keep.

Hold My hand, and do not fear.
  I will not forsake you here.
Hold My hand, tho’ darkness come;
  Stay with Me and I’ll take you home.

Take My hand; stay close to Me
  Even when you cannot see--
Hold My hand: I know the way.
  Follow Me to brighter day.

Hold My hand; I'm holding you
  All your life, though you never knew.
Hold My hand, for you are Mine--
  Come now into My house of wine!
